Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a complex neuropsychiatric condition characterized by intrusive, distressing thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive mental or physical acts (compulsions). While the previous discussion focused on the Lacanian topological structure, this article explores the integrative clinical approach , combining Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) with psychodynamic insights to provide a roadmap for coping and recovery.   I. The Gold Standard: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) The most robustly supported psychotherapeutic intervention for OCD is Exposure and Response Prevention , a specialized form of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The Mechanism: ERP works on the principle of habituation .
